Timber Wolves... an amazing opportunity

Camera Critters
Timber Wolves... an amazing opportunity

My contribution for this weekend.

“Canis lupus lycaon”

About a year ago I went on a vacation to the German Eifel.
It was there when I first got the opportunity to take some pictures of wolves acting all natural, living and hunting in a huge pack.
Living in a reservation, no interference of humans unless they were in any kind of urgent need of vet nary attention or had to be fed because of food shortness.

You can imagine how trilled I was even though I could only capture a few of them on camera.

Because I couldn’t sneak up on them just as close as I would have wanted and could not make use of a lot of tools like a tripod and stuff the pictures are not all that well taken but in spite of that I want to share my experience with all of you.

It was magical!

I hope all of you can feel the magic too...

Be amazed,

Gabi

  4. Oh how awesome. I would love to work with wolves. My dad has a wolf-dog (wolf and German Shepard), and he is the most amazing creature I've ever met.

    1. Seems awsome to me too to be able to come in close contact with them.
We have a German Shepard now (our third), years ago we had a crossbread of a Groenendaler and a wolve, that's what we were told when we went to look at the puppies.
The dog showed a whole lot of typical wolve behavior tho I think it was the truth.

  5. They are wonderful! More short-haired than wolves here. I know it must have been exciting to get to see them!

    1. Hi Marie,

It was in midsummer... maybe that's why their hair is shorter...?
